Products are available in a variety of materials including spunbond polypropylene, SMS and Spunlace.

Spunbond polypropylene is a textile material that is composed of thermally bonded, continuous filaments in a web-like structure.
This gives it a good tear and puncture resistance with high tensile strength in all directions.
The material is strong and light and resists moisture, staining and chemicals. Being constructed of 100% polypropylene it can easily be recycled.

SMS or spun-melt-spun is a tri laminate non-woven fabric comprised of layers of spunbond polypropylene, melt blown polypropylene and spunbond polypropylene.
The spunbond polypropylene layers have good tensile strength, whilst the melt blown layer can offer a fluid and particulate barrier. The fabric can be further treated to ensure alcohol and medical repellence making it a particularly suitable fabric for surgical drapes, gowns etc.

Spunlace is manufactured by the spunlacing process, which is also known as hydroentanglement.
The process uses high speed jets of water to create a web, allowing the fibres to knot around each other. As a result the fabric has specific properties such as soft handle, drapability and relatively high strength.
